In 2011 we decided to embark on a quest to find the very best hunting area and Outfitters for Gould’s Turkey in the world…our trips eventually led us to the Sierra Fria (“Cold Mountains”) in the State of Aguascalientes in Central Mexico - which turned out to be a mecca for Gould’s Turkey hunting!
After hunting multiple times in the magnificent high desert forests and prairies, at 9,000 ft elevation, we were convinced that these mountains in Central Mexico are without a doubt one of the very best areas for hunting Gould’s Turkey in the world. Not only that, but, we also found one of the very best Gould’s Turkey Outfitters in the Sierra Fria as well, whom we have been working with ever since to operate our hunts.
